Security
Most people don't think (enough) about security when using the internet. One example: non-encrypted emails. Strictly speaking, a non-encrypted email is much more insecure than a postcard that can be read by everybody during delivery.
What will follow here is a list of tips how to securely handle your own data, together with a list of relevant software and its use.
(Planned) Topics (a highly uncomprehensive list):
- Encrypting hard drives and other data storage devices (z.B. TrueCrypt)
- Signing and encrypting emails (e.g. GnuPG)
- Secure protocols for communication via internet: HTTPS, TLS, SSH, SFTP
