Info files

Originally developed for one specific spectroscopic method and one (Matlab®) toolbox for data processing, it became more and more attractive as a supplement to the lab book: info files – both human and machine readable files to store important information about experiments.

In the meantime, more and more experiments and methods get their own info files. Therefore, these pages are the one source of information and documentation.

Publication

The idea behind the infofiles has finally been published – more than ten years after their development:

The infofiles themselves are available via Zenodo and Github:

Summary

Basic idea: Info file containing additional (and important) information for a given measurement.

Aim: Import into different (Matlab®) toolboxes. The information gets added to the current dataset.

Longterm goal: Import into a laboratory information system.

Supported experiments

These files are under active development. Every experiment the author comes in touch with results sooner or later in a new class of info files.

Following an overview of the currently supported experiments, sorted by method.
